Movie Night
I went out last night with my girls, Jen and Melissa, to see the movie "My Sisters Keeper" and left Scott at home with Bradley. He has never had to feed him cereal before so I left my instructions on the counter and the phone on vibrate during the movie just in case. The movie was pretty sad so of course I couldn't wait to get home to my family and give them some kisses. When I pulled in the driveway I see Scott holding Bradley in our big front window. Bradley is wearing nothing but his diaper (of course) and waving his arm at me on his own. I am sure he doesn't know he was waving but he was! Scott already fed him and bathed him so all that there was left to do is get in some snuggle time before bed. He said Bradley must have missed me because he was crying during his dinner and bath (which is not normal) and when I got home he stopped. It feels so good to be missed that much but at the same time it isn't a good thing because it makes Scott's time with him a lot more difficult. That was the first movie I have seen since Bradley was born and I have another "date" lined up with my sister to see Harry Potter and am really excited about that.

Good job, Scott! That's great you got to get out of the house a bit and spend some time with friends. Even though Bradley cries, its probably good for him to be away from you once in awhile, so he learns to be taken care of by other people now and then. (Not that I have any experience in parenting, but I know how to train dogs not to develop separation anxiety, LOL)
ReplyDeleteI am soooo excited for our movie night too!!! It's be like old times =) The theater still doesn't have showtimes listed yet, but I will keep checking.
